Stephanie received her BA degree from Rhodes College in Anthropology and Sociology and has a MA degree in Integrative Health Studies from the California Institute of Integral Studies. She is a Registered Hatha/Raja Yoga Instructor at the 500-hour level, Certified Integrative Wellness Coach, and Wellness Manager.
Since 2005, her research focus has been on a variety of holistic approaches to caring for end-of-life patients and their caregivers (link to thesis—Dogs as Healing Agents). She included companion dogs and a meditative style of banjo playing into her visits with patients. She also provided yoga classes for caregivers and hospice staff to help ease the stress of living and working with a terminal illness.
Currently, Stephanie offers Hatha/Raja Yoga Instruction and Integrative Wellness Coaching Sessions to the Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky, and Southeastern Missouri areas. She enjoys travelling to see live music and loves to play her banjo. She spends most of her spare time spoiling her dogs, Osa and Petunia, as they keep her healthy, happy, and engaged with her community. |
